However, people who are buying essential goods as well as those who are reporting for work in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rappler.com\/newsbreak\/iq\/list-industries-open-during-enhanced-community-quarantine-august-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">industries allowed to operate<\/a> are permitted to go out. Curfew is set from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Here are reminders that will help you and your family in getting through the lockdown as we continue to hope for better days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keep communication lines open among family members and friends.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check on the ones who don\u2019t live with you and make sure that they can also easily contact you in case of emergency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Information is key.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Know where to get reliable news and updates. It is crucial to remember the locations and contact information of hospitals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make sure that your quarantine room is ready.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If anyone in your household gets infected, you should have a space where they can be safely isolated and cared for.<\/p>\n<p>The recent surge of cases has once again burdened hospital resources, and a quarantine room can be an immediate solution for isolation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Check on your supply of food and necessities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If there are family members who are taking maintenance medicines, make sure that they have their health supplies as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Continue to disinfect high-touch surfaces, doorknobs, handles, and light switches.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nejm.org\/doi\/full\/10.1056\/NEJMc2004973?query=featured_home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">study from The New England Journal of Medicine<\/a> has shown that the COVID-19 virus can linger in the air and surfaces for hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stay active and fit while staying indoors.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A few days into the lockdown, Metro Manila mayors have agreed to prohibit residents from going out of their homes for exercise during the entirety of the ECQ.<\/p>\n<p>However, even if you are stuck at home, you can still work out.<\/p>\n<p>There are excellent apps that can guide you through days of yoga, barre, HIIT, or pilates.<\/p>\n<p>You can check out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shred.app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shred<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/fitonapp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FitOn<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/keelo-strength-hiit-workouts\/id1004824537\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Keelo<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forte.fit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Forte<\/a> if you are keen on doing a workout routine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Review your health insurance policies and find out whether COVID-19 is covered.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check as well if teleconsultation and telemedicine are covered.
